I did a shoot today with a guy called Rob. The weather was absolutely scorching & bright, which made hard work for my flash guns! Rob had never modelled before & had only ever done standard family type pictures at Venture. The shoot went very well despite the heat. I am pleased with the outcome of todays work. It made sweating a lot worth it, just to see the results after a quick edit.

Military Training
The other week I was asked to update some training images for a couple of old mates of mine. They spent the whole week doing Military skills training in Dorset. This ranged from basic first aid & the ranges, right through to Forward Operating Base (FOB) drills & Helicopter en-planing & de-planing.
This is just a small selection of the images from that week.

Queens Birthday Parade
Soldiers of the Household Division paraded today to mark the Queen’s Official Birthday on 12th June 2010 on Horse Guards Parade at the ceremony known as Trooping the Colour.
This year, the Colour being trooped in the presence of Her Majesty The Queen, was the new Colour of the 1st Battalion Grenadier Guards, which was presented by Her Majesty on 12th May. The battalion returned from Afghanistan six weeks ago and made an extraordinary effort to be on parade today. The Parade was commanded by the Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Colonel Roly Walker.
The Duke of Edinburgh and the Royal Colonels (Prince Charles, The Princess Royal, and The Duke of Kent) were also be on parade.
Over 1400 Soldiers paraded in the traditional uniforms of the Household Cavalry, Royal Horse Artillery, and Foot Guards. Many more worked behind the scenes to ensure all went smoothly.
Over 200 horses and about 400 musicians from ten bands & corps of drums particopated. The famous Drum Horses of the Mounted Bands were also on parade. In the case of Spartacus this was his last parade after 14 years service.
The Colour was escorted by a Guard from Queen’s Company commanded by The Captain, Major Alex Cartwright. The Ensign carrying the Colour was Second Lieutenant James Brown who was commissioned from Sandhurst last August.
The Kings Troop Royal Horse Artillery fired a Royal Gun Salute in Green Park at 1252 hours .
